Questions
Common questions.
What is a swim workout generator?
A swim workout generator builds a complete, structured pool session based on your inputs — how long you have, what pool you're swimming in, your level, how hard you want to go, and what equipment you have. Swim Workout Club generates full workouts with warm-up, drill set, main set, and cool-down in seconds, for free.
Are these workouts good for triathlon swim training?
Yes. The generator builds swim-specific sessions that slot naturally into any triathlon training block. Pick your duration (30–120 min) and intensity — aerobic base for long-course weeks, race pace for pre-race sharpening. See our triathlete swim workouts page for more detail.
Can masters swimmers use Swim Workout Club?
Absolutely. Select "Elite / Masters" and you'll get workouts with appropriate intervals, a mix of aerobic and lactate work, and sets that challenge swimmers at the sub-1:30/100yd pace range. Every workout is different — no repeat sets. Learn more on our masters swim workouts page.
Can beginners use this?
Yes. The "Just Getting Started" level generates sessions that are completely achievable for newer swimmers — shorter sets, lower yardage, plenty of drill work to build technique alongside fitness. See beginner swim workouts for what to expect.
Can I generate a 30-minute swim workout?
Yes — just select "30 min" and the generator builds a complete session inside that window. You'll get a warm-up, a tight main set, and a cool-down. See our 30-minute swim workouts page for examples of what these sessions look like.
Do I need to sign up?
No. The free generator works immediately — no account, no email, no coach. Club membership ($8/month) unlocks personalized workouts built around your swimmer profile, unlimited generations, and a weekly training plan.
What pool length do the workouts use?
Whichever you swim in. Pick 25 Yards (SCY), 25 Meters (SCM), or 50 Meters (LCM) in the generator and every set — warm-up through cool-down — is built for that pool, with intervals to match. 25 Yards is the default since it's the most common format in the US.
